Introductions...

My name is Karena and I am the program coordinator for the Master of Science in Instructional Media. I am both a Wilkes Alumni and a current student as I have my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and I'm currently working on my M.B.A with a concentration in Marketing. Why the strange combination? I guess you can say that like anyone who finds herself or himself in the education field, I am a lifelong learner. The opportunity to be a part of something like the Instructional Media program has been amazing. Growing up, my classmates and I were among the first to see the internet come into schools. As slow as it was and how few and far between it was speaks volumes for how fast the world of education progresses. Still, many educators find themselves with limited resources. In the posts to come, I hope that I can shed some light on technology resources changing classrooms and ways that even the most common technology can can impact a lesson.
